Description:

As a Machine Learning Intern, your primary responsibility is to design, build, and maintain scalable ML/DL workflows across SatSure’s products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, geospatial analysts, and software engineers, to build these workflows.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation Focus: Implementing model architectures and training workflows designed by our Data Science (DS) team.
  • Scalability & Optimization: Optimize ML/DL workflows for scalability, handling large-scale data challenges, and improving cost and time efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand geospatial data requirements and provide technical expertise and support. Communicate findings, insights, and technical solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Key Qualifications:

  • Educational Background & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or related discipline) with 1 year of experience in building and scaling end-to-end ML/DL pipelines.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in Python, ML/DL fundamentals, and PyTorch for designing, fine-tuning, and deploying computer vision pipelines (e.g., object detection, image segmentation).
  • Problem-solving & Workflow Management: Skilled in rapid prototyping, handling large datasets, version control (Git), and writing test cases for ML/DL workflows.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong analytical abilities, excellent teamwork, and communication skills to thrive in cross-functional environments.


Good to have(Bonus points):

  • Geospatial Expertise: Proficient in geospatial libraries like Rasterio, Xarray, Geopandas, and GDAL, with experience in working with raster and vector data.
  • Distributed Computing & Workflow Management: Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Dask) and familiarity with workflow management tools such as Airflow or MLflow.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience working with public cloud platforms, including AWS or GCP.
