Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Electronics Intern to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge electronic systems for Earth observation payloads.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building, testing, and validating electronic schematics and circuits, particularly those related to FPGA-based control systems. The intern will work closely with senior engineers and contribute to real-world projects, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and development of electronic schematics for FPGA-based control systems, including circuits for external peripherals.
- Building and testing electronic circuits based on test cases provided by senior engineers.
- Validation of circuit performance and functionality.
- Troubleshooting and debugging electronic circuits and systems.
- Collaboration with firmware engineers to test and validate integrated hardware and software solutions.
- Meticulous documentation of all design, testing, and validation activities (approximately 50% of the role).
- Contribution to the continuous improvement of design and testing processes.
Qualifications:
Must haves:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of fundamental electronics concepts, including circuit analysis, digital logic, and analog circuits.
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium, Eagle).
- Basic understanding of FPGA architecture and design principles.
- Experience with electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A passion for learning and a strong work ethic.
Good to Have:
- Experience with VHDL or Verilog.
- Familiarity with microcontroller programming.
- Knowledge of power electronics or control systems.
- Experience with hardware/firmware integration.
