What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a Geospatial Analyst to join our Data Generation team. This is a 1-year contractual role ideal for someone who knows their way around satellite imagery and wants to apply that skill to solve real-world problems in agriculture and climate.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Processing satellite imagery (multispectral, SAR) into actionable insights.
- Building models for crop monitoring, yield forecasting, and climate risk.
- Identifying and classifying features like crop types and land use.
- Creating high-quality reports, maps, and visual outputs for clients.
- Ensuring projects are delivered accurately and on time.
Must-Have:
- A degree in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, GIS, Agriculture, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience in agricultural remote sensing—through work or academic projects.
- Strong skills in raster analysis, image classification, and working with satellite data (Sentinel, Landsat, MODIS).
- Comfort with tools like QGIS, ArcGIS, and Erdas Imagine.
- Familiarity with remote sensing concepts (e.g., NDVI, time-series analysis).
- Basic programming knowledge—Python preferred. Google Earth Engine experience is a bonus.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for presenting data.
Good-to-Have:
- 2–3 years of experience in geospatial projects.
- Experience using Google Earth Engine and libraries like GDAL, rasterio.
- Exposure to geostatistics or machine learning in agri-tech.
